SUKOON SS2026 — The Rise of the Quiet Woman
SUKOON. In Arabic, stillness. In Persian, peace. The breath between one state and the next.
SUKOON SS2026 is the newest collection from Fashion by Shehna — a Dubai-based modest luxury fashion house rooted in the living craft traditions of South Asia. Ten looks. Ten stations. One quiet woman, tracing her own arc from inherited origins to sovereign selfhood.
Every piece is built on centuries of hand craft — Kasavu silk-cotton from Kerala, Chikankari hand embroidery from Lucknow, Kantha running stitch from Bengal, Banarasi gold zari brocade from Varanasi, Chanderi silk from Madhya Pradesh. Some pieces carry over 40 hours of hand work. None are mass-produced. Every garment is made-to-order, cut and sewn for the woman who will wear it.
The collection moves through ten emotional stations: Asl — origin. Wasl — connection. Hirz — protection. Kimiyā — alchemy. Sumūd — steadfastness. Zill — shadow. Binā — foundation. Salāt — prayer. Safā — clarity. Sultāna — sovereignty.
Each look is named in Arabic, Urdu, or Persian. Each garment carries a single word — a feeling, not a label. Together they tell the story of a woman who has stopped performing herself and started becoming herself.
The rhinestone chain-mail balaclava appears across all ten looks — the collection's unifying signature and its central question: what does it mean to be seen? And what does it mean to choose not to be?
SUKOON SS2026 was presented at Paris Modest Fashion Week, Hôtel Le Marois, Paris — April 2026.
All pieces are available in sizes XS to XXL. Customised fit is available — share your measurements at the time of purchase and we will cut the garment to you. For bespoke enquiries or styling appointments, contact us at mail@shehna.com.
