RIQ'AH — from the Arabic root meaning "patch" — is exactly what it sounds like, and exactly what it isn't. Each square of linen on this jacket is cut, placed, and hand-attached one at a time, so no two RIQ'AH pieces read quite the same. It's a jacket built the slow way, in a world that rarely asks for that anymore.
The base is soft, heavyweight linen with a full lining — oversized through the body, dropped at the shoulder, with a relaxed drawstring hood that stands up on its own. The patchwork panel runs across the chest and one full sleeve, bordered in raw, unfinished edges left deliberately exposed. The opposite sleeve carries hand-finished machine embroidery in Arabic script, grounding the piece in language and heritage rather than pure decoration.
This is a hood-up, hands-in-pockets kind of jacket — made for layering over abayas, over kaftans, over jeans. It doesn't ask to match anything. It's the piece in the wardrobe that changes the whole outfit around it.
Every RIQ'AH bomber is made to order. Production takes approximately 2–3 weeks from confirmation, as each patchwork panel is cut and attached by hand before the garment is assembled and embroidered.

Care
Dry clean only. Store on a padded hanger to preserve the shape of the hood and patchwork panel. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which may fade the linen patches unevenly.
The Fine Print
Because the patchwork is hand-placed rather than printed, slight variation in patch positioning between pieces is expected and part of the design — not a flaw. The color combination of the patchwork may also vary slightly from piece to piece, depending on available linen scraps at the time of production. As a made-to-order piece, this item follows our standard return policy: returns are accepted only for incorrect items or verified manufacturing defects reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photos.

Every piece is made to order and dispatched within about two weeks. UAE delivery takes 2–3 working days after dispatch. International delivery takes 10–15 working days after dispatch. Free shipping on UAE orders over 1,000 AED. A flat shipping fee of 100 AED applies to all international orders. Any customs duties or import taxes charged by your destination country are not included in your order total and are the buyer's responsibility on delivery.
All pieces at Fashion by Shehna are made to order — built specifically for you. For this reason, we do not offer returns or exchanges. If your piece arrives faulty, let us know within 14 days with a clear unboxing video or photos showing the issue. We will arrange a repair or replacement and cover the return shipping.
