Our Story
Shehna Hussain is a made-to-order modest luxury house, founded in Dubai in September 2010.
It began with a question: how could detail truly be seen against a black abaya? That question shaped the first collection, and it still shapes every piece today.
The house has always designed by noticing where clothing gets in the way. The result is prayer abayas that stay in place through every movement, and linen and breathable fabrics long before linen became a movement. There are sporty abayas for women who stay active, and a hands-free hoodie abaya with an integrated hijab. Pockets, co-ord sets and wide-leg trousers come from the same instinct: clothes should look different, but feel different even more.
Over the years, the palette moved from black into colour, and each collection became a chapter. Qalb, inspired by Rumi, was shown in Istanbul in 2024, and Ruh followed in Kazan in 2025. In April 2026, Sukoon: The Rise of the Quiet Woman was presented at Paris Modest Fashion Week, where South Asian craft met modern modest silhouettes.
Our woman lives between cultures. She is bold, confident and thoroughly herself, and she should never be asked to fit a predetermined shape. That is why every piece is made to order, cut to her measurements and built for the life she actually lives.
